Co-investment opportunity information:
SJF often co-invests with other venture capital firms, and our financing often enables companies to leverage additional debt financing. SJF’s initial investment is usually $1 million to $2 million with follow-on investments for a total of up to $3 million per firm. SJF often leads or co-leads financing rounds of $1 million to $5 million and will participate in larger financings that are a strategic fit for the fund. We generally invest through preferred stock, sometimes together with debt and warrants. SJF employs some flexibility in the investment terms in order to meet the needs and interests of the company and co-investors. SJF expects repayment with gains on investments in five years or fewer. Liquidity events can include strategic mergers, initial public offerings, or management/private equity buyouts.
